Wall Street’s new darling: AI ❤️

Let's talk money. Not just any money, but the BIG money. Hedge funds - the OG Billionaire Boys Clubs are betting big on AI.

Billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller’s family office has recently invested a ginormous $430 million into Nvidia and Microsoft.

• They’ve invested $220 million into the chipmaker (NASDAQ:NVDA) which has risen by 98% just this year.

• The rest $210 million has gone to OpenAI’s new parent, (NASDAQ:MSFT) which has been up 30% this year due to their newly found AI dominance.

Bill Ackman’s hedge fund, Pershing Square recently revealed it’s bet on AI scooping up (NASDAQ:GOOGL) shares worth $1 billion! This comes right after Google’s AI fest last week which has seen its stock rise 4.7% in just the last week.

Other famous names investing in AI are Bridgewater Associates and Steve Cohen’s Point72 Asset Management.

• Steve Cohen, the founder of Point72 Asset Management told investors not to worry too much about the recession and to ride this golden AI wave.

• Even though, he didn’t tell his bets, he’s stated that ‘Bullish’ is the way he’s going on AI!

In a world where AI is as commonplace as an overpriced latte, it’s no surprise that it’s the latest darling of Wall Street.

Theranos CEO: Orange is the new Black 🟠⚫

Elizabeth Holmes, the poster girl of Silicon Valley greed, is trading her black turtleneck for an orange jumpsuit. Looks like she took the show ‘Orange is the new Black’ quite literally.

Holmes, the former Theranos CEO, has been playing a game of 'not it' with her sentencing, but it seems the judges have finally called 'time's up'.

So, unless she's got a 'get out of jail free' card hidden somewhere, this might be the end of The Theranos diaries, a tale of deceit and greed.

• Theranos was once a unicorn that promised to transform the entire health-tech industry and was valued at a huge $9 billion at its peak.

• They raised a total of $945 million from celebrity investors such as Larry Ellison and Rupert Murdoch to name a few.

However, the company collapsed when it was revealed that their ‘revolutionary’ technology was as real as our chief editor’s 5th grade girlfriend.

• Holmes was found guilty of 11 counts of fraud in Jan ’22 and sentenced to 11 years in prison.

• Her former beau and Theranos COO, Ramesh ‘Sunny’ Balwani was charged with 11 counts with a prison time of 13 years.

• The company has been ordered to pay a whopping $452 million in restitution to the victims of their fraud. Now that's a lot of zeros!
